TRAINEE RANGER FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 12 MONTHS FULL-TIME (LOCATION - JURIEN BAY)
Position Description
Applications are invited from inspiring leaders and motivated persons aged between 18 and 25 for the position of Trainee Ranger and Administrative Officer on a full time - fixed term contract for 12 months, located in Jurien Bay.
The long-term goal of this exciting new position is to provide an ongoing pathway for local youth to find a fulfilling career locally without the need to relocate out of the region. This position aims to provide an entry level opportunity for a young person wishing to develop a range of skills and qualifications relevant to a broad list of local industry and service providers in the Turquoise Coast region.
This position offers a generous training package valued at approximately $10,000 which includes several recognised qualifications, vocational and on the job training across various portfolios within local government and regulatory services.
This opportunity will allow the successful person to join a diverse and collaborative Ranger Services and Emergency Management team, along with flexible working arrangements and generous employment benefits. Successful applicants who complete the term of employment may be offered future employment with the Shire of Dandaragan.
