A function of the Community Services department is to provide opportunities for community wellbeing

and engagement and ensure the principles and standards of our Customer Service Charter are achieved.

Within the Department include, Community Development, Visitor Services,

Libraries and Recreation Services.  Staff within these areas are responsible for tasks including:                                                            

  • Community Grant Programs
  • Community facility bookings
  • Community engagement and consultation
  • Turquoise Coast Visitor Centre
  • Libraries  
  • Support for Recreation Centres
  • Youth
  • Age-Friendly Communities
  • Heritage
  • Community Advisory Group support
  • Arts and culture
  • Event coordination and permits
  • Club development
