Environmental Education Workshop in the library
Do you want to live more sustainably and learn how to become more eco-friendly for you and your family?
In partnership with State Library WA and Ecoburbia, you are invited to this free 9-part environmental education workshop series at the Jurien Bay Library.
All workshops will run from 10am to 12pm at Jurien Bay Library, 67 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay. Bookings are essential via the QR code or at Eventbrite. Alternatively bookings can be made by calling 9652 0810 or jblibrary@dandaragan.wa.gov.au.

Hear how Fremantle's 'sustainability gurus' have changed the way they use water, power, solar and passive design to improve the environment.
Come and hear about the changes they have made in their lives both technological (water and power systems, solar passive design) and behavioural (alternative cooperative living, compost systems, urban food production). Just as importantly, come and hear about the ways they have worked in their community to build resilience.
Shani will share 10 simple suggestions to make your own life more sustainable. You will leave inspired to celebrate the sustainable things you are doing and make some changes in your own life.

Would you like to build a simple raised veggie bed using recycled materials? If so, this is the workshop for you.
During this session learn about all the different options for making veggie beds and soil - from pots to raised beds, bought soil to “sand to soil” techniques. You'll get your hands dirty, making a bed from recycled tin and wood, and creating no-dig soil. Everyone will get a go and someone will get to take the bed home with them.
